Parking Information & Free Event Shuttle Bus Service

If you decide to drive to, we recommend using the free shuttle bus service.

Details of the 2009 Shuttle Bus Service will be provided later in the year.



Public Transport

For ease & convenience, you can’t beat catching public transport to the show. The show is located within Melbourne’s CBD, close to public transport and Metlink services. Visit www.metlinkmelbourne.com.au for more information.

The free City Circle Tram stops just outside the entrance to the gardens at the Boulevard Gate in Victoria Street. Please note that there is no stop at Spencer Street Station.

Parliament Station’s Spring Street exit is only 100 metres from the gardens, an easy 5 minute walk.

Tram number 96 & 86 run along Nicholson St and stop near the Museum Concourse Gate to the Royal Exhibition Building.

Coach Group and Tour Operator Information

Special Group Ticket Price
Special group ticket prices for groups of 10 or more will be advised later in the year. We recommend group organisers book groups to attend the event on either Wednesday, Thursday or Friday for your comfort and convenience, as these days are less crowded than the weekend.

Coach & Bus “Drop Off” Area
A five (5) minute limit coach/bus parking area is available in Nicholson Street, adjacent to the Royal Exhibition Building.

This area is will display signage identifying it as a Bus Touring Zone to drop off and pick up passengers. Clients should be advised to return to this area at a pre-determined hour for their return journey.

Drivers cannot remain parked within the drop off / pick up area and will incur heavy fines from parking officers if the time limit is exceeded. You must move to the satellite parking facility in Bouverie Street.

Satellite Parking Coach & Buses
The satellite parking facility has been designated on the east side of Bouverie Street, between Victoria and Queensberry Street.

The existing 2-hour metered parking spaces will be converted to bus parking and this area will accommodate 8-9 tour bus/coaches at any one time. This area will be signed for bus parking from 7.30am to 9.30pm Wednesday to Sunday for the duration of the event.

Drivers wishing to return to the venue will need to make their own arrangements regarding transportation back to the venue and should be in uniform if they wish to access the show free of charge.
