SHOW GARDENS & OUTDOOR FEATURES

2012 promises some exciting new & established landscape design talent for visitors to take in at the Show!

Returning to the Show after the success of winning Silver Show Garden in 2011, Bay Road Nursery will be creating another stunning Show Garden design. Vivid Design will bring together yet another gorgeous, interactive Outdoor Feature display for Oasis Horticulture & their range of plant life. Phillip Johnson Landscapes & the savewater! Alliance have teamed up this year to create what is sure to be an awe-inspiring landscape Show Garden with an educational element, & MIFGS newcomers Marnie Lewis Design & MJD Landscapes are set to bring a new, fresh feel to the Show with their take on landscape design.    

These plus many more talented designers will take part in the Show this year, each battling it off for the chance to be crowned the Gold, Silver or Bronze winning designer for top Show Garden, the Ford Sustainability Award, the City of Melbourne Award of Excellence for Best in Show, the Royal Horticultural Society Comeadow Award, the Horticultural Media Association Best Use of Plant Life Award & Gold, Silver & Bronze Outdoor Feature design.

LANDSCAPING VICTORIA STUDENT DESIGN GARDENS

For the third year running Landscaping Victoria will hold the Student Landscape Design Competitions at MIFGS 2012. From a pool of talented students studying Horticulture or Design throughout Victoria & Tasmania, four finalists were chosen to construct their landscape designs at the 2012 Show.

The four finalists Ross Uebergang (VIC), Esther Sugihto (VIC), Rourke Hartwig (NSW) & Phillip Withers (VIC) will all be vying for the Don Fleming Student Award for winning design.
