Show Garden Award
Judges award Gold, Silver and Bronze to the best landscaped garden at the Show.
Outdoor Feature Display Award
Judges award Gold, Silver and Bronze to the best outdoor exhibit at the Show.
Ford Sustainability Award
Will be awarded to the garden that displays/utilises best practice, planting style and equipment in their design that incorporates sustainable gardening practices & principles.
Retail Display Award
Judges award Gold, Silver and Bronze to the best retail exhibit at the Show.
Landscaping Victoria Student Design Award
Carrying on the Fleming's Nurseries tradition, Landscaping Victoria will once again run the Student Design Competition for the second year at MIFGS. The four finalists have been chosen & they will each partner with individual nurseries to bring their designs to reality at the Show. Four gardens will be constructed and one winner selected to win the Don Fleming Student Design Award.
The Great Victorian Hanging Basket Competition
The Royal Horticultural Society of Victoria Great Victorian Hanging Basket Competition, supported by Scotsburn Nurseries, Debco and Gardman. Competitors battle it off to create the Most Innovative basket, the Best Use of Colour Basket and so much more.
Indoor Competition and Student Design Awards
Tesselaar Flowers Shop Window Competition
This is an open competition that gives florists the chance to create a unique ‘shop window’ display. Presentation and the ability to impress both the public and the judges with their creative flare is the focus.
Intermediate and Advanced Floral Student Design Live Competitions
Experience the skill, imagination and creativity of Victoria’s up-and-coming floral designers. Students have one and a half hours to create a floral design based on a specific theme, live at the Show on opening day!
Main Floral Design Competition
Judges award Gold, Silver and Bronze to the best main floral display at the Show.
RMIT Floral Fashion Design Competition
RMIT Bachelor of Design fashion students create unique floral fashions using primary flowers and plant materials.
